PHILLIPS EQUINE CLINIC and SOUTHWEST MISSOURI STALLION STATION
Dr. Sarah Phillips established Phillips Equine Clinic and Southwest Missouri Stallion Station early in 2007 as a full-service equine veterinary facility and stallion management station. Her mission is to provide quality equine health care, complete mare care and stallion breeding services for the area around Southwest Missouri.

Dr. Phillips graduated from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and went on to specialize in equine practice at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Here she completed her internship in the Equine Ambulatory Service, and then an ABVP residency in Equine Practice. This residency gave Dr. Phillips the opportunity to spend equal time each of the equine specialties, reproduction/theriogenology, surgery, and internal medicine giving her a well rounded specialized equine education. Dr. Phillips moved back to her home state of Missouri in 2005 and has been practicing in southwest Missouri since her return.

We are proud to have a compassionate staff that has a background in equine care, and knowledge of the horse industry. Jenica, Dr. Phillips full time technician, has been working by her side for 4 years now. Jenica grew up with horses and is currently completing her education for her veterinary technicians' license. Judith, our office manager, has played an active role in the AQHA and MQHA for years, as well as being a successful quarter horse breeder with 30 years experience in office management. She and her family share a passion for the horse industry as well as a great respect and love for our hoofed friends.

The facility is equipped to provide the highest level of care and expertise in the reproductive management of mares and stallions. The clinic has an adjustable phantom that can be raised or lowered to accommodate almost any variety of stallion. The clinic is also equipped with a full breeding lab for the evaluation of semen quality, centrifugation, and semen freezing and storage. We also provide nationwide shipping of cooled or frozen semen. The clinic offers advanced techniques such as embryo recovery and transfer, embryo vitrification/freezing, artificial insemination, and deep horn insemination with fresh, cooled or frozen semen. Southwest Missouri Stallion Station is designed to offer full year-round stallion management, board, phantom training and promotion.

In addition, the clinic offers outstanding ambulatory health care and emergency veterinary services to an area encompassing approximately a fifty miles radius around Fair Grove. Our mobile unit is equipped with portable digital ultrasound, digital x-ray, power dentistry equipment, and an endoscope for upper airway evaluation and uterine endoscopy.
